The four cities that the airlines are operating are Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, Abu Dhabi International Airport in Abu Dhabi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, and Cochin International Airport in Kochi.

Next on the list of top 10 best airlines in India is Air India, which is one of the oldest runners in the market. Founded in 1930 by industrialist JRD Tata and is currently holding 18% share in the market. The operations of the airlines began from 15 October 1932. Serving to several destinations in India, it also flies around the world. The company operates a fleet of 107 aircraft excluding the subsidiaries as of today.

Indira Gandhi International Airport and Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is the main hub for Air India flights. The airline offers flights that can take you to 85 destinations.

Initiated in 1993, another key player in the Indian aviation sector is SpiceJet, previously known by the name of ModiLuft and later came to be known as SpiceJet. The airline has been contributing to making air travel affordable and providing good services. Commencing its operations from 18 May 2005, the primary hub earlier was considered as the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and Chennai International Airport. SpiceJet MAX is the name of their frequent flyer programme. SpiceJet is serving about 41 destinations with 34 aircraft. The airline is now operating about 270 flights daily.

Air India Express is another government-owned airline company in India, set up in 2004 to provide competition to other low-cost aviation companies in the country. It has 20 aircraft in its fleet today, which flies to 29 domestic destinations. Offering about 175 flights in a week, this airline’s main operating bases for are Trivandrum International Airport in Thiruvananthapuram, Calicut International Airport in Kozhikode and Cochin International Airport in Kochi.
